Tours in Costa Rica (one day)
Rincón de la Vieja Nationalpark

In Las Pailas sector, a circular nature trail leads you through an impressive forest of giant trees up to the fumaroles, or vapor geysers, evidence of the volcanic activity inside our earth. If you look closely, you can see many animals and birds. There are more trails towards the sectors of Santa Maria, which lead to the waterfalls of la Cangreja and Escondido, the thermal waters or the volcano crater.
Santa Rosa Nationalpark

In the centre of Santa Rosa sector you can visit the historic place La Casona, which contains a museum. Here begins the one kilometer circular trail named “Indio Desnudo”, providing the description and names of many trees. It is also worth seeing the viewpoint at Naranjo, from where a dirt road leads to the wonderful Naranjo beach – thirteen kilometers away and hardly accessible by car.
Murciélago sector: Accessible from Cuajiniquil, the beaches El Hachal or Bahia Danta invite you to enjoy the seaside. Inside the park there is also the white sanded beach Bahía de Playa Blanca (17 kilometres of asphalt road).
Biological Reserve Junquillal

Access to the reserve is twenty kilometers south of La Cruz, in the direction of Liberia. Turn right to go to Cuajiniquil, where a beautiful beach lies. A tour in the mangroves will teach you everything about the protected ecosystem of the area.
